Job Overview:

We are urgently seeking an experienced SAP CPI Developer/Cloud Engineer/Integration Developer for a contract-to-hire role with our direct client in Southfield, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in developing and managing integrations using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), with experience across both SAP and non-SAP products. This role requires an individual capable of designing, configuring, and maintaining complex integration flows and ensuring that technical solutions meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integration Development: Design and develop inbound and outbound interfaces between cloud and on-premise SAP and non-SAP systems. Build and configure custom iFlows and handle exceptions using SAP CPI.
• iFlow Customization: Extend and configure standard iFlows and create custom iFlows with exception sub-processes, exception handling, and integration patterns.
• Integration Adapters: Expert use of SAP CPI adapters such as SFSF, ODATA, SFTP, IDOC, SOAP, HTTP, Process Direct, REST to facilitate data exchange between systems.
• Data Handling & Conversion: Experience converting data formats such as JSON to XML, CSV to XML, and others. Utilize value mapping and develop scripts in Groovy to enhance iFlow capabilities.
• Security & Encryption: Manage security artifacts, ensure the encryption and decryption of sensitive data, and handle SSH keys for secure communication between systems.
• EDI & API Management: Integrate EDI systems, utilize API frameworks, and manage API Business Hub integrations, including key pre-built APIs (e.g., ServiceNow, Concur, Outlook).
• SAP BTP Integration: Architect and develop enterprise-level integrations using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), including CPI and API Management. Experience with Integration Advisor for EDI mapping and B2B Trading Partner management.
• Best Practices & Standards: Follow and promote integration standards, best practices, and guidelines. Ensure that integrations meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, share knowledge, and support project success. Help define technical design standards and procedures.
• Script Development: Develop and utilize JavaScript and Groovy scripts for integration logic and automation.
• Large-Scale API Implementation: Contribute to and manage large-scale API implementations, including the creation and customization of APIs as needed.

Required Skills:

• SAP CPI Expertise: In-depth experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and managing various adapters (e.g., SFSF, ODATA, SFTP, REST).
• iFlow Design: Strong hands-on experience with designing, configuring, and extending iFlows with exception handling.
• Groovy & JavaScript: Proficiency in developing scripts using Groovy and JavaScript for advanced integration capabilities.
• Data Conversion: Experience in converting data formats (JSON, XML, CSV) within CPI.
• Security Management: Expertise in managing security artifacts, encryption, decryption, and SSH key management.
• EDI & API Management: Experience with EDI integrations and API Business Hub; knowledge of key prebuilt APIs and building custom APIs.
• Integration Standards: Knowledge of integration patterns, standards, and best practices for enterprise-level projects.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Ability to collaborate with the team, share knowledge, and support the development of innovative solutions.
• SAP BTP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and Integration Advisor for B2B and EDI mappings.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience with SAP CPI, integration adapters, API frameworks, and managing enterprise-wide integrations.
• Integration Technologies: Expertise in EDI, API management, and handling cloud-based SAP/non-SAP product integrations.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of JavaScript, Groovy, and experience with BTP and CPI tools.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to articulate technical solutions to business stakeholders and collaborate within a team.
